This two years have not entirely been the best for Katrina Kaif as the Bollywood actress faced letdowns in both personal and professional life. However, the actress has finally bared open of how she has dealt with this difficult time.

Katrina and her beau Ranbir Kapoor broke up and ended their on and off six-year-long relationship around a year and a half, which has been hard on the ‘Dhoom 3’ actress. After the failure of her last released movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ opposite her ex-boyfriend Ranbir, Katrina has opened up about the ‘extremely rough’ time she has faced.

“The last year-and-a-half has been, at many times, extremely rough and trying for me. I think I’m still in the transition period till I find myself and learn a lot more about myself. I am happy in this phase. I’m working hard and understanding the joys of a film set. But I’m still in a phase where there’s a lot of uncertainty,” she told DNA India in a recent interview. However, like the tigress she is, Katrina is back with three upcoming movies with all the Khans of Bollywood. Katrina’s first movie of this trio, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is opposite Salman Khan, which is all set to release this Christmas. Her next movie will be ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ with Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, followed by the Anand L Rai’s untitled movie opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Katrina claimed that it ‘wasn’t a planned move’. “There wasn’t any sense of planning. These are films that happened organically. There were discussions and these are wonderful filmmakers, who were doing films I wanted to do. There is no point in trying to recreate the past or trying to be nostalgic,” the actress said.

Katrina also hinted that her relationship with Ranbir had gone unhealthy. “I go to work and you need to know how to give your best and come home and disconnect. You can’t base your entire existence on it because it’s not healthy and I have done that for a long time.”–Agencies
